president
Wilson is the President and Co-Founder of Schultz Lawnscapes, which he launched in 2009 with a vision to provide reliable, high-quality landscape services rooted in craftsmanship and integrity. A Virginia native with a degree in Business Management and several industry certifications—including pesticide application and safety training—Wilson turned a teenage lawn-mowing job into a thriving regional business.
What began as a two-man operation handling maintenance and installations has grown under Wilson’s leadership into a full-service landscape company serving a broad range of clients. His hands-on experience has shaped his approach to scaling operations, managing teams, and delivering consistent, high-value results. Wilson’s career has been guided by a philosophy of treating people right, doing quality work, and always looking for ways to improve.
Influenced by mentors and grounded in strong values, he believes in building long-term relationships—with both clients and team members—and creating lasting outdoor spaces that enhance communities. He’s passionate about efficient operations, sustainable landscape practices, and supporting the growth of those around him.

Corey is Vice President and Co-Founder of Schultz Lawnscapes. A 2003 graduate of Randolph-Macon College, Corey earned his degree in Business Economics with a minor in Accounting. Born and raised in Waverly, Virginia, his lifelong interest in landscaping was sparked by the opportunity to improve properties and solve problems through thoughtful outdoor design and maintenance.
From the start of his career, Corey has believed in doing things right the first time, educating customers, and building a strong team around him. These principles, along with his commitment to treating others as he would want to be treated, have shaped his leadership style and played a key role in his professional success.
Over the years, Corey has grown both personally and professionally, thanks in part to the guidance of trusted business and life coaches. As he’s developed as a leader, he’s become more empathetic and focused on helping others grow—whether that’s within the company or through client relationships. For Corey, the most rewarding part of his work is helping others solve problems and seeing the impact of a well-executed project.
Outside of work, Corey enjoys spending time on the water boating and fishing, often alongside his twin nephews and niece. His philosophy is simple but powerful: enjoy it. Whether in business or life, Corey brings energy, purpose, and a passion for making things better.
rhonda rook

Rhonda brings a wealth of leadership experience and a strong operational background to the Schultz team. A native of Emporia, VA, Rhonda attended Averett University and holds certifications including DEQ Certified A Operator and Certified DEQ Stormwater Operator. She joined the company in November 2022.
Rhonda’s interest in landscaping was sparked by her own love of gardening and deepened through her work with Corey and Wilson Schultz as a client. Her professional journey includes serving as VP of Operations and Director of Facilities at Davis Oil Company, where she oversaw 13 locations and led operational strategy, software integration, and maintenance scheduling. The fast-paced nature of that work taught her adaptability and the importance of strategic leadership.
Raised by an entrepreneurial mother who built a business from the ground up, Rhonda began working at age 13 and was managing operations by 18. She credits her mother’s philosophy—“Thrive in Chaos”—as a driving force behind her resilience and work ethic.
At Schultz, Rhonda is passionate about customer satisfaction, team success, and exceeding goals. She believes leadership is a mindset, not a title, and continues to grow in her ability to delegate and empower others. Outside of work, she enjoys camping at Lake Gaston—her “home away from home”—and spending time with her husband and two children.

Business Development manager
Daniel is a dedicated landscape industry professional with over a decade of experience and a strong foundation in both field operations and sales. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Facility Management from the University of Lynchburg and is a Certified Hardscape Installer.
A native of Waverly, Virginia, Daniel's passion for the outdoors started early and naturally led him into the landscape industry. What began as a summer job quickly turned into a fulfilling career when he joined Schultz Lawnscapes full time in 2013. Over the years, Daniel has worn many hats—including roles in operations, sales, and administration—giving him a deep, well-rounded understanding of the business.
His philosophy of never turning down an opportunity to contribute to the company's growth has helped shape his career. His hands-on experience in the field taught him the challenges crews face daily, which has made him a more effective estimator and communicator with clients. His current role in sales allows him to lead growth efforts while mentoring others, driven by the satisfaction of hitting goals and securing major contracts.
Daniel credits much of his professional development to the mentorship and trust of Corey and Wilson Schultz, whose guidance helped him grow into a key leader on the team. His leadership style is rooted in teamwork, dedication, and a commitment to excellence—not just in personal performance, but in lifting up those around him.
Outside of work, Daniel is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys fishing, hunting, and sports like baseball, football, and golf—all of which he loves sharing with his wife and two sons.

Ric Erickson is a Certified Landscape Designer for Schultz Lawnscapes, bringing over 25 years of experience in landscape design, hardscape construction, and plant installation. Since joining Schultz in 2018, Ric has combined his technical knowledge and creative vision to help customers transform their outdoor spaces into beautiful, functional environments.
Prior to his time at Schultz, Ric worked at Dominion Pavers in Richmond, Virginia, where he honed his expertise in hardscape design. He is also a proud member of the Virginia Society of Landscape Designers.
Originally from Wisconsin and now living in Richmond, Ric is known for his responsiveness, patience, and close attention to detail. He thrives on the challenges that come with each project and is passionate about turning clients’ ideas into reality.
In his free time, Ric enjoys being on the water and wakeboarding whenever he gets the chance. His dedication to thoughtful design and customer care makes him a trusted and valued member of the Schultz team.

Andrew Burton brings to Schultz Lawnscapes over two decades of experience in the service industry and a passion for delivering excellence. He joined the company in 2024, and holds certifications in OSHA 30, Lean Management, and Carnegie Business.
Raised in Chesterfield, Virginia, Andrew’s interest in landscaping began with the simple joy of seeing a beautiful yard. That early appreciation has evolved into a deep commitment to creating outdoor spaces that exceed client expectations. His diverse background includes extensive work in the hospitality industry, where he traveled across multiple states and countries helping streamline operations and implement efficient systems.
Andrew’s career has been shaped by years of hands-on experience running lean management facilities and leading under pressure. A key influence in his life and career was a mentor he worked alongside for 20 years—someone who left a lasting impact on his leadership style and professional outlook.
He believes in the philosophy: “Stay in control of your ship. If the ship is driving you, then you’re not in control anymore.” That mindset, along with his belief in hard work, has propelled him from the ground up in every role he’s held.

Neil is the Commercial Installation Estimator for Schultz Lawnscapes, returning to the company in February 2025 to revive a role he previously held with great success. Known for his attention to detail and accuracy, Neil is responsible for preparing estimates and bids for prospective commercial landscape installation projects—work that plays a critical role in the company’s growth and success.
With a friendly nature, can-do spirit, and strong analytical skills, Neil has earned a reputation as one of the best estimators Schultz has had over the years. His professionalism and steady presence make him a trusted part of the commercial team.
Before returning to landscaping, Neil served for over a decade as a Pastor at several churches and holds a Doctor of Theology degree. His early love for landscaping began while working on golf courses, where he helped maintain immaculate greens and learned the value of precision and care—skills that continue to inform his work today.
Neil lives in Colonial Heights, Virginia, with his wife and family. In his free time, he enjoys paddleboarding, outdoor activities, and spending quality time with his loved ones.
Adam Webb
Commercial installation project manager-richmond branch
Adam oversees all commercial landscape installation projects in the Richmond region. He joined Schultz in March 2025, bringing with him 30 years of well-rounded experience in the green industry.
Throughout his career, Adam has worn many hats—from working on maintenance crews and running retail nursery operations to managing a commercial lawn maintenance satellite office. Though he briefly stepped away from the industry, it didn’t take long for him to realize how much he missed the work and the connection to the outdoors.
Since joining Schultz, Adam has thrived in his role, enjoying the complexity and scale of the projects he manages. He values the supportive, welcoming atmosphere at Schultz and the opportunity to work alongside a team of knowledgeable, friendly colleagues.

Jeanne Moseley came to Schultz Lawnscapes in October 2023 highly recommended for her experience in payroll and human resources from her many years performing in similar roles at Davis Travel Centers and PMG.
What does Jeanne like the most about her job at Schultz Lawnscapes? She says, “Every day is a different day. Every day presents a different set of challenges and opportunities.”
Jeanne calls Emporia home. It was where she was raised and where she and her husband have raised their three sons. In her free time, Jeanne enjoys spending time with her friends and family and going shopping.

Accounting Manager
Karen Howerton brings a wealth of experience and a collaborative spirit to the Schultz team. A Sussex County, Virginia native, Karen’s professional background includes roles as Accounting Manager at Meadowbrook Country Club and Staff Accountant at two area automotive dealerships.
Since joining Schultz in 2021, Karen’s impact has extended far beyond the accounting department. Her deep understanding of the company and willingness to support her colleagues have made her a trusted resource across the organization. Most recently, she played a key role in the company’s successful transition to a new landscape management system—ensuring a smooth process through her attention to detail and leadership.

Marketing Manager
Lynn brings creativity, strategy, and a deep understanding of the Schultz Lawnscapes brand to her role at the company. She partnered with Schultz as a digital marketing contractor for three years before joining the team full-time in September 2024. She is a graduate of James Madison University and has served in various marketing roles in education, state government, and small business.
Lynn manages the company’s website, develops social media content, creates marketing collateral, and uses data analytics to develop strategic ways to strengthen the company’s online presence in Central and Southeast Virginia. Guided by her life philosophy—“look for opportunities where others see challenges”—Lynn is known for her resourcefulness, creativity, and team-oriented mindset.
Her life-long interest in landscaping, home improvement, and design energizes her efforts and the role she plays in helping the company grow and create positive customer experiences. She lives in Sussex County, Virginia, with her husband and two sons, and enjoys traveling in her free time.

Hampton Account manager
Anna Seward earned an Associate degree in Applied Agricultural Management from Virginia Tech, with a focus on Crop Production. Growing up on a crop farm in Waverly, Virginia, she developed a deep passion for agriculture and an appreciation for the hard work and knowledge it demands. This early experience gave her a unique perspective and shaped her career path in the green industry.
Before joining Schultz, she gained valuable experience in sales, leadership, and agronomic services through roles at Southern States Cooperative and SiteOne Landscape Supply. She earned multiple SiteOne certifications in nursery management, turf agronomy, and pest management.
In 2025, Anna returned to Virginia to be closer to family and joined Schultz Lawnscapes as an Account Manager. She brings with her years of hands-on industry experience, a strong work ethic, and a passion for educating others about plants and turfgrass. Anna enjoys helping clients better understand and appreciate the landscapes around them.
Outside of work, Anna enjoys spending time outdoors fishing and hunting, attending country music concerts with friends, and spending time with her family and cat.

Blake White brings a strong foundation in customer service, leadership, and property care to the Schultz team. He joined the company in 2023 and holds an OSHA 30 certification.
Blake grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia, where his interest in landscaping began with a personal desire to keep his own yard looking great. That passion naturally grew into a career focused on helping others enhance and maintain their outdoor spaces. A pivotal early experience came in high school when he worked for a development contractor who instilled in him a core belief: if you work hard, you’ll get ahead. That lesson, along with the lifelong influence of his father, continues to shape his work ethic and leadership style.
Prior to joining Schultz, Blake served as an Environmental Services Director in healthcare facilities. This experience sharpened his understanding of customer service and taught him the importance of clear, adaptable communication. As he’s progressed in his career, Blake has developed as a leader—one who values honesty, hard work, and the satisfaction of a job well done.
In his current role, Blake finds genuine fulfillment in transforming properties and making customers happy. He’s passionate about ensuring each property looks its best after every service. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and working dogs.
josh burwell

Josh is a fifth-generation professional in the landscape industry. His passion for the outdoors and green spaces was cultivated from an early age, growing up in Maryland and spending weekends and summers working in his uncle’s nursery. After high school, he joined his mother’s landscape company, gaining hands-on experience across a wide variety of residential and commercial projects.
Josh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture and is a registered Landscape Architect. He also carries an Irrigation Auditor certification from the Irrigation Association. He joined Schultz Lawnscapes in May 2025, bringing with him a strong foundation in landscape construction, maintenance, and design.
A formative experience in Josh’s career was living and working in Germany for a year with a landscape company. This time abroad gave him valuable insight into international best practices and inspired a deeper appreciation for the craftsmanship and precision found in European landscape design. His uncle, who emigrated from Germany to start a successful nursery and landscape business in the U.S., was also a major influence and role model.
For Josh, landscaping is more than a job; it’s a way of life. He sees strong parallels between the care required to nurture plants and the attention needed to grow in one's own personal and professional life. With a calm, respectful demeanor and a detail-oriented mindset, Josh thrives on helping clients bring their visions to life and watching each project evolve and improve with time.

Jacob Hartman

Jacob plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in keeping operations running smoothly. His mission each day is to maintain, diagnose, and repair the company’s fleet of trucks and vehicles—ensuring that crews stay on the road and able to serve customers without delay.
Jacob brings a methodical mindset and a love for problem-solving to his work. “It’s not always so easy to diagnose a problem,” he says. “On the most challenging issues, I have to go through a process of elimination and many tests to pinpoint what needs to be fixed.”
Before joining Schultz, Jacob worked as a mechanic at a Ford dealership. He also proudly served in the United States Army, spending five years stationed in Hawaii, where he operated heavy artillery.
Originally from Illinois, Jacob now calls Ivor, Virginia home. Outside of work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and firing up his smoker to cook barbeque with friends and family.
